Teacher Wedding Shower Please Help With Wedding Invitation Etiquette.?

I teach and work with many people. This is my first year in this school, and although I welcome a lot of people in the hallway, do not know many people know very well. My room gave me a bride for the right to attend a shower. My question is, should I get invitations to the world of work. This would be an additional 70 invitations. I have mixed advice from family and friends. These are my options:

1. Send an invitation to all members of the faculty.

2. Show Place a call in the staff room for everyone to be invited, but later, e-mail invitations to members of the faculty that I'm closer.
