In theory, a code can not agree ... and can ever be "unstable by definition of" virus. But in theory. For me it would be very unlikely that any kind of malicious software packaging that come with pre-video game.
Viruses are almost always written by someone with malicious intent, and would be very difficult for them to infect you with a legally purchased game packed, unless they were a game developer for this company.
