Mango Wood Maintenance Modern Dark Wood (Mango) Table - ? Should I Paint It?

Modern dark wood (Mango) table - ? should I paint it? - mango wood maintenance

I have a table, a modern dark place no longer corresponded to the new look of our house that we moved. I need a bit of the same size as, and I am reluctant to go back to buy another. The rest of the furniture in this room are tired jaw, that I intend to paint ... I'm not sure, something dark and modern painting ... we do that? Tips and suggestions are welcome! Thank you very much

If the wood was painted / varnished Plant / Spotting should be continued. Any attempt to scrub and paint is a commitment to good painting practice often likely to chip.

Covered both the old surface, as you are willing to spend time, but at least every square inch matte surfave keys and give something to get the new color.

If you are on a surface like paint does not soak it not as the first new timber, you need to use a special primer, either in primetime on a CERMICS more or MDF or relevance. It is not necessary, but better and can be ignored, if not to disturb the card. If a patch is greater exposure / Oil Finishing Primer, you need high quality aluminum with wood, butI do not recommend it for furniture.

Then apply a layer or two and a brilliant shine. You may use the emulsion on the walls. Just buy the Dulux paint for wood is the goal Satinwood Nice canvas (will tell you to wash your brushes with turpentine) Wil be more difficult because water-based, although it is water based and map together, regardless of the use of the two species.

If you are painting on wood painting, which claim will be taken, and do clearcoat layer

You can rub the old paint with a P120 or P80-quality paper and then Denib between coats with P180. Use a 4-inch foam / roll time with a brush.

Seems a good idea. I also painted a few pieces of furniture myself. Depends if you are polishing or oiling the table. Because if you have more than color (even with a primer or sealer) that bland oil paint. I had my blodges painted yellow on the whiteboard, which came through the paint in the same period. You can also use the old paint and oils, by grinding it (preferably electric sander). Then apply a primer coat, then paint with a sponge roller (There is a slight effect). This layer of sand lightly with sandpaper by hand. Clean the dust. Then apply the final coat with the sponge roller. They have a unique piece that your craft is. Enjoy the process.

Hi Tracey
Before painting the wood will try to be painted with a 50/50 mix of linseed oil and vinegar. After 24 hours give the wood a wax polish and see how the wood can be renewed.
